Chapter 1: The Invisible Footprints

It was a sunny day, and the waves were silently lapping against the shore, the sun was high up in the sky and the weather was pleasant. “Hurry up Casey!”, Ann called out, “I’m coming!”, replied Casey. They were going out to the beach for a picnic by the sea. Their mother packed some really good food, and the sisters couldn’t wait for the wonderful spread that awaited them. They had scones filled with strawberry jam, ham sandwiches, some sardines, a bucket load of water and punch. Ann and Casey were enjoying their wonderful spread when suddenly, Ann spotted footprints, forming on the sand but no one was walking there. She decided to go closer to investigate, so she started walking closer step by step. She was scared, but her curiosity overcame her fear. Ann followed the footprints and eventually they stopped at a beach chair. She went even closer and saw a bulge at the bottom of the chair, the sort when someone sits on something. Ann decided to throw a rock on the chair to see if someone was actually sitting on it. She found a rock, threw it on the chair and was close enough to hear a soft groan.

Chapter 2: The Old Woman

She went up to Casey and asked her to follow her, she led her to the chair where the ‘invisible thing’ was sitting and asked, “Do u see anyone sitting here Casey?” Casey couldn’t see anything there either but saw the bulge at the bottom of the chair and was very surprised. They both decided to watch the chair but stay hidden for some time. Suddenly, an old woman appeared on the chair and they saw that she was putting her hand down after doing something in her ear. They went closer to take a look but made sure that they were hidden well. The old woman spoke “I know you are there and you saw me, show yourself”. Ann and Casey realized that the old woman was talking to them, they came out of their hiding spot and stepped a little closer. Ann was very scared, but Casey calmed her down and they walked up to the old woman. The old woman said, “Hello children”.

Chapter 3: The Enquiry

The sisters replied, “We saw you become invisible, who are you, how did you know that we were hiding and how do you become invisible?” The old woman told them to ask their questions one by one. She answered their first question, “Hello, my name is Emily and I’m a good witch, I know you are probably very surprised, but what I’m saying is true.” And for your second question witches have a sixth sense that can detect people without looking at them. The answer to your final question is something that we are not allowed to reveal, I am sorry but you both shouldn’t have seen me.” “What is going to happen to us now?” asked Casey. “Well, I’m not too sure. I think I will have to take you two to the ‘MAGIC COUNCIL’. This time even Casey was terrified, and both the sisters were wondering what was going to happen next.

Chapter 4: The Magic Council

The girls stepped into a blue, purple and black round portal that Emily had opened for them to reach the Magic Council. When they entered, they saw all kinds of creatures like, elves, witches, wizards, dwarfs and a lot more. Emily led them to a hallway with a huge, wooden door at the end. She opened the door without even touching it and entered the room. It looked a lot like a court, there was a desk with five chairs, a witch sitting on one, an elf sitting on another, a dwarf sitting on the next, a wizard sitting on the fourth chair and on the final chair sat a centaur(half-man, half-horse). The room was quiet, and the centaur, his name was Nick spoke “Hello, Ann and Casey. I’m sorry but non-magical people can’t know about this world. We have scheduled this meeting to decide your future and what we should do to you now that you know about magic. If you will, please give us some time to discuss.” The five “creatures” spoke in hushed voices. Finally, they all lifted their heads and Nick spoke, “We have decided, I will conduct a mind wipe myself.”

Chapter 5: Back to Normal

Nick asked them to follow him and they were led into a bare room with just two chairs in it. The doors closed and Nick asked the sisters to get ready. They took one last look at the Magic Council and Nick started the mind wipe. The next thing, the sisters knew was that they were sitting on a carpet enjoying the wonderful spread that their mother had packed for them by the sea and nothing ever happened before.
