Easy Chocolate Lava Cake Recipe

Serves 4 (You can multiply or divide the measurements if you want to increase or decrease the quantity)
Ingredients:
- Dark Chocolate chips- 1/2 cup + 3/4 cup
- All purpose flour- 2 tablespoons
- Salted Butter- 5 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar- 1/3 cup
- Milk- 2 tablespoons
- 2 large eggs + 2 egg yolks
- Vanila Extract- 1 teaspoon
Method:
- Preheat the oven at 220°C (420°F)
- Coat the ramekins with softened butter and sprinkle with some sugar
- Heat the heavy cream in a pot till it boils
- Mix 1/2 cup of chocolate chips into the boiling cream, so the chocolate chips melt. It should have a very thick consistency
- Refrigerate this mixture for 25 minutes
- Meanwhile, add butter and 3/4 cup of chocolate chips in a bowl over the gas and heat (or microwave) till they melt and have a smooth texture
- In a separate bowl, add the eggs, vanilla extract and sugar, and whip with an electric mixer till it is frothy
- Next, add the melted chocolate and butter mixture into the whipped eggs, and gently fold till incorporated
- Then, add in the flour and gently mix till the mixture has a batter-like consistency. Keep this batter aside
- Take the chocolate out of the refrigerator and divide it into 4. Roll the chocolate in your hands to form little balls.
- Scoop the batter into the ramekins till they are half full and add a chocolate ball, then cover the ball with the mixture again
- Repeat the process for the other ramekins as well
- Place the ramekins in the middle rack of your oven (an OTG works too) and bake for 15 minutes
- Finally, take them out of the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes
- Devour them!
